About Julie

Julie Cassel is a respected, professionally trained Marriage and Civil Celebrant with over ten years’ experience officiating at weddings, renewal of vows ceremonies and naming day ceremonies across the Illawarra, Southern Highlands and Sydney regions.

Prior to becoming a full-time Marriage Celebrant, Julie was a licensed Real Estate Agent and managed her own business from her home town of Minnamurra. During her years as a Real Estate Agent, Julie relished the opportunity to get to know couples and families embarking on exciting new chapters of their lives. Many of them were newly married, or planning a wedding, and Julie found the joy and anticipation associated with such momentous occasions infectious.

Julie loves being a Wedding Celebrant and feels privileged to get to know so many wonderful couples during what is a very special time for them. She is firm believer that weddings should be relaxed, genuine, romantic and a true reflection of each couple’s unique journey together. Julie goes the extra mile to really get to know every couple she works with to deliver personalised, meaningful ceremonies that create lasting memories.

A resident of Minnamurra for over thirty years, Julie is happily married with four adult children and seven grandchildren. During her spare time, Julie loves travelling overseas or getting away in the caravan to enjoy the sun and warm weather in the outback or at the beach. She also loves socialising with friends, listening to good music, keeping fit at the gym, bike riding, gardening and spending time with her grandkids.

Having officiated at over 100 weddings, Julie offers Civil Celebrant Services locally in Kiama as well as across Wollongong, Shellharbour, Jervis Bay, Sydney and throughout the Illawarra and Southern Highlands regions. She is an appointed Justice of the Peace and member of Australian Marriage Celebrants Inc.
